…[Midori Igarashi] The Ferrara National Museum occupies 20 rooms on the second floor of Palazzo dei Diamanti (Diamond Palace, 1492-1565), whose exterior walls are characterized by their diamond-cut ashlar masonry, and boasts a collection of Ferrara paintings from the 14th century onwards. In addition to C. Tura, Ercole de' Roberti, and L. Costa, the museum also features works by Garofalo (c. 1481-1559), known as the "Ferrara Raphael," and Dosso Dossi.
