Biotope

...A biological concept that has been translated into various Japanese terms, such as habitat, habitat, and habitat environment. Simply put, it refers to the specific place where each organism lives, but there is considerable confusion about its usage, and the word is often used synonymously with environment or biotope in German-speaking countries. Roughly speaking, there are three meanings for "place."
