Founded in Berlin in 1721, it was originally titled Berlinische Privilegierte Zeitung, but after Voss CF Voss took over in 1751 it came to be called Vossische Zeitung (Voss's Newspaper), which became its official title in 1912. GE Lessing was editor-in-chief of the culture column from 1751 to 1755, and contributed articles himself, helping to improve the paper's content. …
