All grinding mills use the movement of grinding media placed in a grinding vessel to grind the raw material particles that are mixed with them. (1) Ball mill This type of mill is the most typical, and is widely used for mass pulverization of ores, cement raw materials, cement clinker, etc., as well as for fine to ultrafine grinding of ceramic raw materials and chemical raw materials. A ball mill is a cylindrical vessel that rotates around a horizontal axis and is filled with iron balls to fill about one-third of the vessel's volume (Figure 5-a).
