Aphredoderidae

...Although not a target for fishing, it is important as a natural food source for large fish species. The Aphredoderidae family includes only one species, Aphredoderus sayanus (pirate perch). This species is 13 cm long, with pelvic fins approaching the thorax, no fatty fins and no airway, and an anus that opens to the throat.
