Rotational motion always has two directions, but which one is called left-handed and which one is called right-handed is an even more complicated issue than the left-right of the structure. The simplest way to express this is to say that the direction of rotation of the hands of a clock is right-handed, and in English, right-handed motion is called clockwise, and left-handed motion is called counterclockwise or anticlockwise. However, this also reverses depending on which side of the axis of rotation you look from.
