Acute hemorrhagic conjunctivitis

...After an incubation period of 5 to 6 days, symptoms begin along with those of a cold. Acute hemorrhagic conjunctivitis is an extremely contagious disease caused by enterovirus 70, and has been seen in Japan since 1971. It was widely spread in Ghana in 1969, and is commonly called "Apollo disease" or "Apollo fever" because the Apollo 11 flight to the moon took place just before that.
