An old Shingon Buddhist temple located in Tenri City, Nara Prefecture. It was the temple of Emperor Toba, and was founded by his precept teacher, Kan'ei. It was founded in the Eikyu era (1113-18), so the temple's name is the year, but more specifically, it was called Uchiyama Kongojoin Eikyuji. During the Nanboku-cho period, Emperor Go-Daigo stayed at this temple after the fall of Kasagi Castle. Since the Middle Ages, he has practiced Shingon Shugendo, and took up his position as a member of the Omine Shodai Sendatsushu of the Tozan sect, and was responsible for the Kesashita Shugendo under his command in various provinces, and entered Mount Omine. 奈良県天理市にあった真言宗の古刹。鳥羽天皇の御願寺で,受戒の師寛恵を開基とする。永久年中(1113‐18)に創建されたのでその年号を寺号とするが,詳しくは内山金剛乗院永久寺と称した。南北朝時代,後醍醐天皇が笠置城の落城の後,この寺に忍んだことがある。中世以来真言修験道を奉じ,当山派大峰正大先達(せんだつ)衆の一員としてその職を継ぎ,諸国に配下の袈裟下(けさした)修験を領し,大峰山に入峰(にゆうぶ)した。
