The Washington Post

Japanese: ワシントン・ポスト(英語表記)The Washington Post
The Washington Post
An American daily newspaper. It was founded in 1877 in Washington, D.C., by Stilson Hutchins (1838-1912) as a Democratic morning paper. In 1888 it merged with The National Republican, becoming an independent newspaper from any political party. The following year, in 1889, its management was transferred to Beriah Wilkins, a member of the House of Representatives from Ohio, and others, and in 1905 it came under the control of the wealthy McLean family of Washington.
