A female writer born in Poland in the former Soviet Union. Wife of the playwright Korneyczuk. She became a Soviet citizen during the German-Soviet War, but wrote her works in Polish. In addition to her representative work "Rainbow" (1942), which denounced the cruelty of the Nazis, her trilogy "Songs on the Water" ("Fire in the Swamp" 1940, "Stars on the Lake" 1946, and "The River Burns" 1951) won the State Prize in 1952. Only Love (1944) and "Dawn" (1946), which dealt with the morality of socialism, attracted controversy.

ポーランド生まれの旧ソ連女流作家。劇作家コルネイチュクの夫人。独ソ戦のときソ連に帰化するが、作品はポーランド語で書く。ナチスの残虐ぶりを告発した代表作『虹(にじ)』（1942）のほか、三部作『水の上の歌』（『沼の炎』1940、『湖の星』1946、『川は燃える』1951）は1952年に国家賞。社会主義のモラルを扱った『ただ愛のみ』（1944）、『夜明け』（1946）は論議をよんだ。
