Weimaraner [species] (English spelling)
A hunting dog originating from Germany. During the heyday of the German Empire in the early 19th century, it was a dog that was monopolized by the Weimar aristocracy, and for a long time it was unknown to the world. Its body shape is similar to that of a German Pointer, but it is slightly larger, has a wider skull, a more prominent jaw, and a more stern appearance. Its coat is short and the color is a single shade of gray that comes in a variety of colors, including silver, light, dark, and blue. The blue-gray color in particular is said to be beautiful and shine with a purple hue. Its distinctive eyes are light amber with bright irises.
