A global financial market in London. The so-called City, especially Lombard Street, is a region where various financial institutions such as commercial banks and bill discounters are concentrated. The London financial market is comprised of financial activities carried out by the Bank of England at the apex, in close cooperation with each other - the buying and selling of "capital as a commodity," that is, the lending of interest-bearing capital. It is said to be the most ideally organized financial market in the world, and has had a major impact on the global economy and has been used as a model for financial markets in other countries.
