A novel by the British novelist D. Defoe. Published in 1719. The official title is "The Life and Strange Surprising Adventures of Robinson Crusoe." It is said to be the origin of modern British novels because of its realistic writing. It was inspired by many popular voyages in the 17th and 18th centuries, and by the true story of a man named Alexander Selkirk who was shipwrecked on the Juan Fernández Islands off the coast of Chile and lived alone on the island for five years. The Life and Strange Surprising Adventures of Robinson Crusoe》。
