Robin Hood

Japanese: ロビン・フッド(英語表記)Robin Hood
Robin Hood
A legendary English hero. He is said to have lived and worked in Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire during the time of King Richard I the Lionheart (reigned 1189-99), i.e., in the latter half of the 12th century. He is said to have helped the people suffering under the tyranny of the evil king, along with his cheerful subordinates such as Little John and Friar Tuck, and to have given the wealth he stole from the rich to the poor, and to have never harmed a woman. According to one theory, he was a nobleman whose real name was Robert Fitz‐Ooth, Earl of Huntingdon, but for some reason he broke the law and became a bandit living in the forest, and eventually met an untimely death due to the betrayal of a nun.
