Japanese: 紡績連合会 - ぼうせきれんごうかい

A federation of Japanese spinners. It was formed in October 1882 by people involved in spinning with 2,000 spindles, at the suggestion of Okada Noritaka, director of the government-run Aichi Spinning Mill. It agreed on matters such as undertaking technical training for newly established factories and prohibiting the poaching of workers, but it had more of an air of being a subcontracting agency for industrial promotion policies. However, with the rise of spinning companies with 10,000 spindles, it changed its name to the Greater Japan Cotton Spinning Industry Federation in 1888, and became an independent organization of spinning capital, becoming extremely active. Internally, it agreed on measures to deal with strikes, and in 1892 it organized the Central Cotton Spinning Industry Alliance to handle disputes over the poaching of workers, and implemented a short-term reduction in operations during the 1890 depression.

日本の紡績業者の連合体。1882年10月，官営愛知紡績所所長岡田令高の提唱によって2000錘規模の紡績関係者により結成された。新設工場のための技術伝習の引受けや職工引抜き禁止などを取り決めているが，勧業政策の下請機関という色彩が強かった。しかし1万錘規模の紡績会社の勃興にともなって，88年大日本綿糸紡績同業連合会と改称したころから，紡績資本の自立的組織となって活動もきわめて活発となった。内部的には，ストライキ対策を取り決めるとともに，職工引抜きをめぐる紛争を処理するため92年に中央綿糸紡績業同盟会を組織し，〈明治23年(1890)恐慌〉に際しては短期間ながら操業短縮を実施した。
