Masuyama - Station

Japanese: 益山 - えきざん

A city developed in the Mangyeong River basin in the Honam Plain in the northwest of Jeollabuk-do, South Korea. It was formerly known as Iri City in 1995. It is a key transportation hub where the Honam, Gunsan, and Jeolla railway lines intersect. It is also a distribution center for agricultural products from the surrounding plains. It has an export industrial complex and is home to industries such as machinery and shellfish, general merchandise, brewing, textiles, and oils and fats. It has a population of 308,000 (2005).
