Special courts for handling legal disputes related to labor relations. Because legal disputes over labor relations have different characteristics from general litigation, such as the need for rapid resolution, special litigation procedures and institutions are sometimes established to handle labor cases. The need for labor courts has been advocated for a long time in Japan, but no special measures have been taken except for the establishment of departments in some district courts that specialize in handling labor cases.

労働関係に関する法的紛争を処理するための特別裁判所。労働関係をめぐる法的紛争は迅速な解決の必要性など一般の争訟と違った性質をもっているところから，労働事件を処理するための特別な訴訟手続や機関が設けられることがある。日本においても久しく労働裁判所の必要性が説かれているが，地方裁判所のいくつかに労働事件を専門に取り扱う部が置かれているほかは特別な措置はとられていない。
