Born after 1084. A descendant of Fujiwara no Saneyori. Junior Fifth Rank. He was interested in Pure Land Buddhism and became a monk around 1135. After wandering around Chikuzen (Fukuoka Prefecture), he published "Sange Ojo-ki." He also compiled 59 Chinese poems in the "Honcho Mudai Shi" (Poetry of the Untitled Collection of Classical Chinese Poems), and was praised as a pessimistic poet.
