A temperature scale. The freezing point of water is 0° Celsius, the boiling point is 80° Celsius, and the interval between them is divided into 80 equal parts. It was established by Reaumur in 1730, and the scale comes from the Chinese translation of the scale. If the values for the same temperature expressed in Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Celsius are C, F, and R respectively, then R = 4C/5 = 4(F-32)/9. It is not used much these days. → Temperature scale → Related topics Fahrenheit temperature scale | Celsius temperature scale Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
