Lumumba Peoples Friendship University (English name)

Japanese: ルムンバ民族友好大学 - ルムンバみんぞくゆうこうだいがく（英語表記）Universitet druzhby narodov imeni Patrisa Lumumby

An institution of higher education established in Moscow in 1960 to help train experts in various fields in developing countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, while at the same time spreading the Soviet political and cultural influence in those regions. Students from developing countries study alongside a certain number of Soviet students. Initially, the university also accepted Japanese students, but has not accepted them since the late 1960s. Tuition, dormitory fees, medical expenses, etc. are free. It consists of the faculties of physics, mathematics, natural sciences, history, literature, economics, law, engineering, agriculture, and medicine.
