Japanese: 栄養剤 - えいようざい
Nutrients - Nutrients
A general term for medicines taken to make up for nutritional deficiencies and correct imbalances. In general, it refers to vitamins, amino acid preparations, mineral preparations, and tonics, but in a broader sense it also includes elemental diets used in general infusions, high-calorie infusions, space food, and surgical nutrition. So-called nutritional drinks are taken to recover from fatigue, maintain health, increase physical strength, and become stronger. Reflecting the Japanese love of medicine, their consumption amounts to several billion bottles per year, including those classified as soft drinks.
