Tadanari Okamoto
1932-1990 An animation creator from the late Showa to Heisei era.
Born January 11, 1932. Founded Echo Company in 1964, and produced short animated films using a variety of materials as a producer and director. Won the Arts Festival Grand Prize in 1982 for "Okonjoururi." Won the Mainichi Film Award's Ohfuji Award seven times. Died February 16, 1990. Age 58. Born in Osaka. Graduated from Nihon University. Works include "Chikotan" and "Mochimochi no Ki."

昭和7年1月11日生まれ。39年エコー社を設立,プロデューサー兼演出家として,さまざまな素材で短編アニメをつくる。57年「おこんじょうるり」で芸術祭大賞。毎日映画コンクール大藤(おおふじ)賞を7回受賞。平成2年2月16日死去。58歳。大阪出身。日大卒。作品に「チコタン」「モチモチの木」など。
