[Born] 12th year of Shotoku (1517) [Died] 1598 A Chinese scholar from the late Ming Dynasty. Born in Putian (Fujian Province). His pen name was Maokun (Bokun). His pen names were Longjiang and Ziguzi. He was also called the Three Teachings Teacher because he advocated the fusion of the three teachings of Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism. He gained a reputation for curing illnesses using the Genbei method of spiritual training. His works include the Complete Works of Linzi.
