Li Yang-bing (English spelling)

Japanese: 李陽冰 - りようひょう（英語表記）Li Yang-bing

A calligrapher from the Tang Dynasty in China. Born in Zhao Commandery (Hebei Province). His pen name was Shaowen. He was Li Bai's cousin. His detailed career is unknown. He was a master of seal script, studied Qin seal script, and was said to be the leading scholar of the Tang Dynasty. He left behind many seal inscriptions for calligraphy monuments by Yan Zhenqing. His posthumous works include the Prajna Tablet Inscription (772), Yiting Inscription, Records of the Three Tombs of the Li Family, and Listening to Song. His other works include the Publication of Standardized Writings and the Hanlin Forbidden Scriptures.

中国，唐の書家。趙郡 (河北省) の人。字は少温。李白の従叔。詳しい経歴は不明。篆書の名手で，秦篆を学び，唐代の第一人者といわれた。顔真卿の書碑の篆額を多く残す。『般若台題記』 (772) ，『怡亭銘』『李氏三墳記』『聴松』などの遺作がある。また著書に『刊定説文』『翰林禁経』がある。
