A Chinese dictionary of characters. 4 volumes. Compiled by Xing Jun of the Liao (Khitan) Dynasty. Published in 997. It classifies Chinese characters collected mainly from Buddhist scriptures, but also from the "Shuowen Jiezi" and "Yupian" texts, according to their radicals, and arranges the radical characters in the order of the four tones: Hei, Shang, Qu, and Nyu.
