Li Ding-jo (English spelling) Lǐ Dǐng zuò

Japanese: 李鼎祚 - りていそ（英語表記）Lǐ Dǐng zuò

A Chinese scholar of the Tang dynasty. He was from Zizhou (Sichuan province) and is presumed to have lived after the Tianbao period (742-755), but his birth and death years are unknown. He is known only as the author of the Zhouyi Zhijie, a compilation of ancient interpretations of the I Ching. This book includes interpretations from 35 scholars, from Zixia to Jingfang, Ma Rong, and Zheng Xuan of the Han dynasty, He Yan, Wang Su, and Wang Bi of the Wei dynasty of the Three Kingdoms dynasty, and Gan Bao of the Eastern Jin dynasty, to Kong Yingda of the Tang dynasty. The tradition of I Ching in the Han dynasty was lost with the popularity of interpretations of the I Ching by Wang Bi and others based on the ideas of Laozi and Zhuangzi after the Wei and Jin dynasties, so this book is considered to be of great value in the history of I Ching research.

中国，唐代の学者。資州(四川省)の人で，天宝(742‐755)以後の人と推定されるが，生没年不詳。〈易〉に関する古来の諸解釈を集めた《周易集解》の著者としてのみ知られる。この書には，子夏以下，漢代の京房，馬融，鄭玄（じようげん），三国魏の何晏（かあん），王粛，王弼（おうひつ），東晋の干宝から，唐の孔穎達（くようだつ）に至る35家の解釈が集められている。魏･晋以降の老荘思想に基づく王弼らの易解釈の盛行で，漢代易学の伝統が絶えたため，易研究史上，この書のもつ価値はきわめて高いとされる。
