A Chinese scholar of the Tang Dynasty. His pen name was Bochong. Along with Zhao Kuang, he was a disciple of the outstanding Tang Dynasty scholar Tanzhu, and he compiled and supplemented their theories, writing the Spring and Autumn Annals Compendium, the Spring and Autumn Annals Weizhi, and the Spring and Autumn Annals Compendium Discussions. He rejected the traditional interpretations based on the three texts Zuo Shi Zhuan, Gongyang Zhuan, and Guliang Zhuan, especially that of Zuo Shi Zhuan, and attempted to clarify the original meaning of the Spring and Autumn Annals through his own original insights, which had a great influence on Spring and Autumn Annals studies in the Song Dynasty.

中国，唐の学者。字は伯沖。趙匡とともに，唐のすぐれた春秋学者啖助 (たんじょ) の弟子で，彼らの学説を整理補足して『春秋集伝纂例』『春秋微旨』『春秋集伝弁疑』を著わした。従来の『左氏伝』『公羊伝』『穀梁伝』の3伝による解釈，なかでも『左氏伝』のそれを退け，自己の創見によって『春秋』本来の意味を明らかにしようとし，宋代の春秋学に多大の影響を与えた。
