Randa

Japanese: ランダ
Randa
Spanish missionary and Franciscan friar. In 1549, he traveled to the Yucatan region of Mexico, where he engaged in missionary work and observed Maya culture. Although he destroyed Mayan pictorial documents and statues, he wrote a comprehensive report on Maya culture, the Book of Things Yucatan, which remains one of the few historical documents on ancient Maya culture today.
