Nakdong River - Rakutoukou

A large river that originates from Hwangji Pond in Gangwon Province, South Korea, and flows through South and North Gyeongsang Province. It is 525 km long and has a drainage area of ​​23,860 square km. Fertile farmland spreads across the basin, including the large delta at the mouth of the river, the Gimhae Plain, and the Jinyong Plain. Its tributaries include the Banbyeon River, the Noseong River, the Geumho River, and the Nam River, and irrigation and water transportation are well developed. It irrigates the plains around Daegu, enters South Gyeongsang Province, and empties into the Korea Strait west of Busan.

韓国（大韓民国）、江原道の黄池を水源とし、慶尚南・北道を流れる大河。全長525キロメートル、流域面積2万3860平方キロメートル。流域には河口の大三角州、金海平野をはじめ進永平野など肥沃(ひよく)な農耕地が広がる。支流には半辺川、乃城(だいじょう)川、琴湖(きんこ)江、南江などがあり、灌漑(かんがい)、水運が発達している。大邱(たいきゅう)周辺の平野を潤し、慶尚南道に入り、釜山(ふざん)西側で朝鮮海峡に注ぐ。
