Italian sculptor and architect. He was active not only in Italy but also in France, and was important in introducing the Renaissance style to France. His early biography is unknown, and the first work with a date is the Arc de Triomphe in Naples. He is known for his sculptures such as the reliefs of the Church Fathers in the Basilica of San Francesco in Palermo, as well as the Portrait of Battista Sforza (c. 1475, in the Bargello Museum, Florence), and in his later years he worked as a medallion maker in France.
