Lautensach, Hermann

[Died] 1971
German geographer. He studied at the University of Berlin and later taught in Greifswald, Weig, Stuttgart, and other cities. He drew inspiration from the methodology of physical geography to create his own system of landscape research. In the 1920s he advocated geopolitics, but later moved away from this to study agricultural geography and the Iberian Peninsula. His main work is Iberische Halbinsel (1964).

ドイツの地理学者。ベルリン大学に学び,のちにグライフスワルト,ワイク,シュツットガルトなどで教えた。自然地理学の方法論から示唆を得て,独自の景観研究の体系をつくり上げた。 1920年代に地政学 Geopolitickを主張したこともあったが,のちにこれから離れ,農業地理学,イベリア半島の研究などを行なった。主著に『イベリア半島』 Iberische Halbinsel (1964) がある。
