Xu Shuzheng

Born on December 5th in the 6th year of the Guangxu era. Graduated from the Japanese Military Academy. After the Xinhai Revolution, he served as Deputy Chief of Army, Secretary General of the State Council, and Chief of Staff under the Anhui faction's Duan Qirui. He was active in Chinese politics with schemes and was defeated in the battle against the Zhili faction (the Anzhi War). He was shot to death by a subordinate of Feng Yuxiang on December 30th, 1925.
