Japanese: 寄せなべ(寄せ鍋) - よせなべ

A type of hot pot dish. Seafood, vegetables and other ingredients are added to a boiling seasoned broth and eaten while it is simmered. Seafood usually includes white fish, squid, shrimp and clams, fish paste products include kamaboko, hanpen and naruto, vegetables often include green onions, daikon radish, Chinese cabbage, chrysanthemums, Japanese parsley, bamboo shoots, ginkgo nuts and mushrooms, as well as chicken, grilled tofu and shirataki noodles. It is popular because it is easy to serve a small number of dishes and to a large number of people, and each dish, with its own mysterious name, is considered a local specialty in various regions.

なべ料理の一種。調味した煮汁を煮立てたところへ魚介類，野菜などの材料を入れて煮ながら食べる。魚介類では白身の魚，イカ，エビ，ハマグリ，練製品ではかまぼこ，はんぺん，なると，野菜ではネギ，ダイコン，ハクサイ，シュンギク，セリ，たけのこ，ぎんなん，キノコ類，ほかに鶏肉，焼豆腐や白滝などを用いることが多い。料理の品数を少なくし，かつ，多人数に供するのに便宜なため盛んに利用され，それぞれにいわくありげな名をつけたものが各地で名物料理とされている。
