In Japan, Nishi Amane first translated Wolff's Ontologie as "theology of reason" in 1870 (Meiji 3), followed by "substantigaku" in 1981, "hontairon" in 1900, "hontairon" and "jitsutairon" in 1905, "ontology" and "jitsu-ron" in 1916, "substantigaku" and "ontology" in 1919 (Taisho 1), and even in 1924, "ontology" and "ontology" were used, and in the 1930 Iwanami Dictionary of Philosophy, ontologia was translated as "ontology" and ontology and Ontologie as "ontology" and "ontology", and it was not until the 1930s that "ontology" became common.
