〘Noun〙 (From the cheering voices that sounded like "Oh, Yoshiko again" or "Yoshiko, Yoshiko") One of the popular songs from the Edo period. It is said to have evolved from Itakobushi towards the end of the Bunka period ( 1804-18 ), and is similar to dodoitsu , with the lyrics consisting of four lines of 7-7-7-5. From the beginning of the Bunsei period ( 1818-30 ), it was performed in Edo, Osaka, Kyoto, and other places. *Kakushihon, Ushijima Souvenir (1824), part 2: "Please, sir, play a good Yoshiko performance." 〘名〙 (はやし声を「こりゃまたよしこの」とか「よしこのよしこの」と言ったところからいう) 江戸時代の俗謡の一つ。文化(一八〇四‐一八)の終わりごろ潮来節(いたこぶし)の変化したものといい、都々逸(どどいつ)に似て、歌詞は七・七・七・五の四句から成る。文政(一八一八‐三〇)の初めから江戸・大坂・京都などで行なわれた。※滑稽本・牛島土産(1824)下「出来ざらに、旦那さま、よしこの節(ブシ)イ弾(ふい)てくださいまし」
