Three volumes. Written by Ryutei Tanehiko. Published in 1841 ( Tenpo 12 ). A collection of 51 articles that mainly examine the manners and customs of the common people. It is a detailed and vividly researched essay that depicts the manners and customs of the early Edo period by quoting old haiku books and including copies of old calligraphy and paintings from the early Edo period.
