A city in the western part of Uttar Pradesh, northern India. It is the administrative capital of the Moradabad district. It is located about 155 km east of Delhi, overlooking the Ramganga River. It was founded in 1625 as a castle town of Rustam Khan. It has traditionally been known for the production of brass and tin tableware, and is also a thriving industry in cotton weaving and dyeing.
