A Byzantine scholar of ancient Greek literature active around 1300. Dates of birth and death unknown. A student of Planudes. He annotated several classical poems, including Pindar's Ode to the Olympian Games, but is better known for compiling a concise introductory book on Greek grammar, which contributed to the revival of the ancient Greek language during the later Western Renaissance.
