Funeral - Magari

Japanese: 殯 - もがり
Funeral - Magari
The temporary placement of a noble's body in a coffin until the funeral. This is considered a type of mourning, and the building used for this is called a mortuary palace. In the ancient imperial funeral rites, this continued until the mausoleum was completed, during which time high-ranking officials would make speeches to the body one after the other.
