[1] (Henry More) British Platonist philosopher. He studied Plato and Plotinus as well as records of mystical experiences, and was also involved in the study of modern science. He is famous for his theory of innate ideas. ( 1614-1687 ) [2] (Sir Thomas More) British politician and thinker. Humanist. In 1516, he published "Utopia," a satire of British society based on a new worldview. He was appointed Lord Chancellor, but he incurred the King's displeasure by opposing Henry VIII's divorce, and was executed for treason.
