The generic name of 2-methyl-2-propyl-1,3-propanediyl dicarbamate. C 9 H 18 N 2 O 4 (218.25). It is obtained by synthesizing 2-methyl-2-propyl-1,3-propanediol from propionaldehyde, reacting this with phosgene to make a carbonate ester, and then reacting with NH 3. White crystalline powder.
