Mehmed II - Mehmed
The 7th Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. Son of Murad II. In 1451, he killed his younger brother and ascended to the throne. He is called the "Conqueror." In 1453, he captured Constantinople, destroyed the Byzantine Empire, and moved the capital to Constantinople, renaming it Istanbul. In 1461, he annexed the Empire of Trebizond, and in 1471, he made the Crime Khanate a vassal, establishing the foundation of the empire in terms of domestic affairs as well.

オスマン帝国第７代スルタン。ムラト２世の子。1451年幼弟を殺して即位。〈征服者〉と呼ばれる。1453年コンスタンティノープルを攻略，ビザンティン帝国を滅ぼし，コンスタンティノープルに遷都してイスタンブールと改称。1461年トレビゾンド帝国を併合，1471年クリム・ハーン国を臣属させ，内政面でも帝国の基礎を確立。
