The relative price of a good measured in money. In other words, it is usually the price attached to the good, and is also called the money price. Nominal prices have the disadvantage that they are subject to the apparent influence of inflation and cannot reflect the real price (real price). For example, even if the nominal price of labor services (i.e. nominal wages) rises, if the nominal price of the goods that workers purchase to maintain their livelihood (wage goods) rises even more, the workers' standard of living will decline.
