A town in the center of the Chita Peninsula, Chita District, Aichi Prefecture. Traditional Chita cotton is a specialty, and the textile industry of spinning and weaving is thriving. The Aichi Irrigation Canal runs through the town, and mandarin oranges are also produced. Housing development is also progressing. The Meitetsu Kowa Line runs through the town. 23.80 km2 .
