Year of death: July 30, 1927 Year of birth: July 25, 1859 (August 23, 1859) A politician of the Meiji and Taisho periods. Born as the eldest son of No Tatsuzo and Kano, a wealthy farmer from Nozuta Village, Tama County, Musashi Province (Machida City, Tokyo). In 1881, he founded the Yukansha Society with Ishizaka Masatsugu and others, and played a part in the movement to establish a national parliament. In 1885, he was implicated in the Osaka Incident, sentenced to one year in light imprisonment and 10 months of supervision, and imprisoned in Wakayama Prison. In the 6th general election in 1906, he was elected to the House of Representatives from Tokyo Prefecture, and was elected eight times thereafter.
