A traitor to the Sui Dynasty in China. The eldest son of Yuwen Shu, a member of the Northern Zhou clan. At the end of the Sui Dynasty, when rebellions broke out in various places, Hua Ji led a group of soldiers who wanted to return north and killed Emperor Yang in Jiangdu. Hua Ji tried to support Emperor Yang's nephew Yang Hao and return north, but he killed Yang Hao on the way and took the throne himself. He named his country Xu, named the era Tianshou, and appointed various officials. He was eventually defeated in a battle with Dou Jiande and beheaded.

中国，隋の反臣。北周系の門閥宇文述の長子。隋末に各地で反乱が起ったとき，化及は北帰を望む軍人らを率いて江都にいた煬帝 (ようだい) を殺した。化及は煬帝の甥楊浩を擁立して北帰しようとしたが，途中で楊浩を殺し，みずから帝位についた。国を許と号し，年号を天寿と称し百官を任命した。やがて竇建徳 (とうけんとく) と戦って敗れ，斬られた。
