The methods of diagnosing uterine cancer include interview, gynecological internal examination, cytology, colposcopy, and tissue diagnosis. (1) Cytodiagnosis: A diagnostic method in which cells that have fallen off the surface of the tissue or cells that have been scraped off the surface of the tissue are stained and observed under a microscope is called cytology or smear test. Its application to cancer diagnosis was established in 1928 by Greek-born GN Papanicolaou (1883-1962), and it is indispensable for diagnosing various types of cancer.
