Japanese: 村鑑大概帳 - むらかがみたいがいちょう

This was a ledger prepared by the Edo Shogunate magistrates and feudal lord offices each year and submitted to the Shogunate Finance Magistrate's Office for the Shogun to personally inspect. It is also called Mura Kagami or Mura Tama Sugata Taigai. It was first created in 1721. It lists the year of land survey as the title, and includes information on the village's land area, the amount of rice and farmland, the number of suri to Edo, water supply, drought damage, the presence or absence of various land transactions, the number of households, the number of people, the number of cattle and horses, various incomes, forests, fishing and hunting grounds, construction, port, and poverty. → Village Details Book

江戸幕府代官所，大名預所ごとに村々の様子を将軍の親閲に供するため，代官が毎年作成し幕府勘定奉行所に提出した帳面。村鑑・村々様子大概書ともいう。1721年の創始。検地年次を肩書にし，村高・田畑反別・石盛，江戸までの里数，用水・水旱損，物成諸運上の有無，家数・人数・牛馬数・諸稼・林野・漁猟場・普請・津出・豊窮などの訳が記される。→村明細帳
