A meritorious official who founded the Mongol Empire. A member of the Jarayri tribe. He helped Genghis Khan through his difficult times and contributed to his conquest, and was called one of the four great men along with Boorchu, Borokul, and Chiraun. In 1206, Genghis Khan unified the Mongolian Plateau, reorganized his nomads into 95,000 households, and divided them into two groups: the right group, which was in the Altai Mountains in the west, and the left group, which was in the Khingan Mountains in the east. Boorchu was appointed commander of the right group, and Mukhari the left group. In 1217, Genghis Khan, who was planning a western expedition, entrusted Mukhari with full authority in China, and he led the left wing army in battles throughout northern China, until he died of an illness in Wenxi County in Shanxi in 1223.

モンゴル帝国創業の功臣。ジャライル部の人。チンギス･ハーンの苦難時代からこれを助けてその覇業に貢献し，ボオルチュ，ボロクル，チラウンとともに四傑と称せられた。1206年チンギス･ハーンはモンゴル高原を統一すると，麾下（きか）の遊牧民を95の千戸に再編成し，これを西のアルタイ山方面の右手の万戸と東の興安嶺方面の左手の万戸に振り分けたが，ボオルチュは右手の，ムハリは左手の指揮官に任じられた。西方遠征を図るチンギス･ハーンは17年ムハリに中国方面の全権を委任，以後彼は左翼軍団を率いて中国北部各地を転戦し，23年山西の聞喜県で病没した。
