Japanese: 産霊 - むすひ

〘Noun〙 ("Musu" means to give birth, and "hi" means spiritual power. Later also called "musubi") The mysterious power that gives birth to the heavens and the earth, or causes all things to grow. Often used in the name of a god. ※The Chronicles (720) Kamiyo no Kami "The Imperial Spirit of Birth, this is called Mimusubi " [Additional note] "Hi" is a clear sound, but after the Heian period, it was associated with "musubi" (to tie), and sometimes it was pronounced with a voiced "bi".
